a busy sat!

HE appeared trustworthy and very persuasive as he explained abt his financial services agency. nic.holas goh n assoc. it was under prudential and was the top agency. Basically, he has several accounts under him. and he also connected as his grandfather is SBS bigwig. then he handles big corporate clients and are getting more so he wants help in his team handling his old accounts and he showed me his FOOLPROOF methodology and his 100% client acquisition rate. It was impressive, to say the least. He was very eloquent. His ppt presentation was exclusively for me as i missed last wk's one. It spanned 2 hrs and made me make yl wait. and then it had many videos in it which focussed on the R n R aspects and rewards. got go paris, prague, bintan, phuket etc for expenses paid trip..

1) he was willing to pay for my m5 n m9 insurance licensing exams(directly under MAS so gives customers confidence) which amted to 145 dollars provided i pass on the 1st time

2) he was a christian and he said his chance meeting wif me was one that was of divine intervention as he was looking for partners for his team and there on that fateful day he met me.. his other 3 pple on the team now are also, as he said, god chosen by fate.

In short, he had the makings of someone successful cos' he could really talk n persuade. He addressed all my doubts and issues and cleared them easily. Top 10 richest pple in the world 1) bill gates, (2) warren buffett 3) .. he did his facts n figures research and 2 inherited, 3 did thru investments and the other 5 had thier own biz. thus he kept lauding the benefits of investing which is why he cited the eg of a fresh grad from nus biz last yr whose past 2 yrs paychecks are really impressive. however, the level headed side of me prevails.. i still dun understand what he wants out of me.. becos' somehow inside me, i still cant believe that there are inherently nice pple, esp those who r SO exceptionally nice to strangers picked up in NUS engin audi ..

anyway on the super busy sat.. was s37 class outing where only 4 ppl turned up :S:S:S so many pple last min back out.. but in any case, we still had an expensive lunch at dome.. after that i went to a faraway land to watch the departed.

DEparted movie review:

knowing the plot already, it was kind of a comparative film.. but juz compare the actors.. matt damon as andy lau, leo di caprio as tony leung.. it was a good match up as matt damon fits the role of scheming backstabbing baddie .. the american gang is kinda different from the hk gang.. the show is punctuated wif f words and vulgarities every 5 mins, which justifies the m18 rating.. and jack nicholson really does well in his role of gang mafia boss.. fitting the crazy murderous lunatic and sex pervert persona.. watching the show was a good insight into american gangs.. and all that white thrash, gang lingo.. you have to perk ur ears to comprehend the lingo cos it juz speeds past u as they curse n swear at each other.

overall, a so-so film but hk one still better maybe cos kelly chen much chioer than the american parallel..
