IT is 15 mins after del piero added the icing on the victory.. he made up for his 2 misses indeed wif a lovely lob over the keeper but u cant take away the limelight from Grosso.. Much lauded and condemned for his fall over lucas neill which gave them a win over aussie, Grosso saved Italy again wif a curling shot to the far post past Lehmann's flailing arms.. From the cleared corner in the 128th minute, pirlo threaded a pass to Grosso who took it 1st time past the keeper.. and then 2 minutes later, a classic counter attack led to Gilardino holding up the ball before passing a no look pass to the onrushing Del Piero who calmly lifted the ball over an advancing lehmann. Yes this pic typifies the 3 goal heroes.. but take nothing away from the defence superbly marshalled by the ageing cannavaro.. Buffon din have much to do except for that shot from podolski which shows us how mean the Italian defence is.. All the tackles from Gattuso.. and how calm they all seem as they pass their way out of defence.. never frazzled, never hurried.. especially Pirlo whose two gifted feet sashayed through the whole midfield, twisting n turning and tearing the defence apart wif the accuracy of his deliveries.. and materazzi atones for his prev sending off by winning so many headers in the air.. zambrotta wif a typical workhorse performance while totti was on n off brilliant.. Toni worked his socks off b4 coming off for gilardino and iaquinta showed his exuberance down the right flank as a sub.. perrotta n camorenesi also turned in typical italia performances.. tho' the former missed 2 one on one chances wif the keeper.. gilardino was sway to hit the post in extra time , and so was zambrotta after the corner came out.. germany juz wasnt their match.. n ballack damn fakeo.. he clutch his face after elbowing iaquinta.. pui ballack..

i m damn high now ahhhhh...the adrenaline pumping.. tho' i lost money cos i bought italy win in normal time.. but it can be considered investment in such a happy moment.. they have been the perennial bridesmaid.. euro lose to france, world cup lose to korea(2002) n brazil(1994).. pls go triumph over port/france..

I have to say that one should not go against fate.. look at how liverpool came back against milan last season.. cos they were fated to win.. now this world cup, italy has always made the final every 12 yrs.. 1970, 1982, 1994 and 2006.. it is time to win it.. FORZA ITALIA.. GOGO AZZURRI..
