A trip to Caldecott Hill

Sometimes, u wonder why sg gals are so crazy over stars.. i mean wif the furore of pop idol s idol, jue dui superstar, and now super band.. isnt it like overkill? but i guess.. young pubescent adolescents juz want pple to idolize.. a dose of good looks, a mediocre voice, or some dancing/acting groovy moves and there u have it, someone to idolize.. Young girls nowadays, dunno why they invest so much in such useless pursuit of newcomer wannabe stars.. got one gal keep following the ishi or the whoever.. then tell him abt her daily life.. i mean .. wtf.. get a life siah.. and he was giving her fu yan answers like "对啊，你那是跟我讲了“ and yet she still going gaga over him.. hiazzz.. hopefully these gals will grow out of their stage.. and foot put on solid grd.. but even so .. i witnessed 5 22-yr-olds go crazy over a band .. lucky xl rocker fren wasnt crazy n gaga.. he would have spoilt the image of guys..

Sunday -- woke at 2 pm.. checked fone.. sms from eva: hey u wanna go superband today? got extra tic.. carol sick.. cannot make it.. as usual.. carol pang sei.. *heh* but anyway.. soccer cancelled due to rain the WHOLE day la.. so i was like thinking.. to go or not to go.. Superband live recording versus Xmen2 on channel 5 and holland-serbia .. ok .. so call ali at 515 to find out.. cos they crazy.. they go make poster balloon banner dunno wad la.. then she call bak at 545.. so i decided .. aiya nvr go b4.. so go lor.. 6 pm ready to leave!.. and then.. supp to be sitted inside auditorium by 615 pm.. so bo bian .. take cab.. reach mediacorp.. went in without ticket lor.. as usual.. i sneak past security.. then we were at the stage area.. machiam NRJ awards in finland.. the stage this time was X-shaped.. then we were fighting for places wif all the sec sch gals adorned in such weird hippy dressing.. its funny to see such young gals try to put make up and dress sexily and to act 10 yrs their senior. then while jostling for place, we were pushed back to the area.. dunno why the others kena fake by nice little man who lied to us.. only me n cai stayed n kb a bit.. then we were allocated seats.. while the others went up to sit.. then sniff sniff.. belinda got slight heart attack while rehearsal.. so they restarted.. and when all the bands came out, i muz admit i was impressed wif a couple of bands.. the drummers realli imba for a few of them.. like the si wen guy who sing a bit then go drum.. of cos got the lucify whose shun ya looks like sly who looks like me.. and then the retro theme was also interesting.. Soul .. the band the gals supported cos their fitness instructor is one of the members.. was obviously one wif the most support.. and the ditty they performed realli was quite gd.. tho' they make use of their audience one.. cos got a lotta interaction.. and here is the goondu look alike tat i promised.. half of the band brox.. i muz say they are not bad .. and then presenting SHINYA, EXTRA, and merv..
look like not? the only blemish is miss extra whose liquid eyeliner comes between sly n sly.. and so merv decides to take things into his own hands as singapore idol runner up

and then the supposed uni gals go ga-ga over awi and soul and ishi and andy lau and char sa pao n man tou n dunnowad other names.. well i must say it is an interesting sight that i witnessed these YEAR 4 uni gals quarrelling wif gals 7 yrs younger over "hey we came here first? do u mind moving?" .. an immense sight to watch.. as the only level headed person in the auditorium (ie me) saw the pouts and the ignoring and the stares between the gals fighting for stage floor space.. in the end.. when soul came out to perform and the tv cameras zoomed on soul fans.. these 2 supposed enemies became ji gum.. they cuddle together n shout awii!!! soul!!! ishi!! then become so SO so unglam.. i hope all this footage on tv.. i managed to retain some sort of dignity as i distanced myself from crazy screaming gals and gave wry smiles n minimal applause.. oh well, u can watch out after the 5th grp onwards on 12th jun 8 pm on channel U when we decided to go down to stage floor to soak in the atmosphere..

Hmm, i compare this with wat would really interest me.. i mean if i see celebrities i also wun go crazy.. like the 2 old men who dress so tut and go ard asking the band members to autograph.. so condemn.. imagine guy take wif guy.. and not even THAT famous.. but now wad spurs me on to nvr ever regret is the time at IOC when RAUL walked past me and i hesitated.. cos i was acting professional .. arghhh i shd have juz take foto.. then he still give out REAL MADRID collar pins.. one of biggest regrets siah.. but still.. i think i will have the composure and not become like screaming crazy whiny gals.. ahhh the teens of singapore .. hiazzzz
