Internship

I would like to dedicate this post to my beloved company.. Sailor Moon Macrosystems. I have been working there for 3 wks already.. and i suppose i do prefer it to slacking at home like some people we know.. Here are the pics of my work desk.. which is flexible seating!








As you can see, i have to bring my laptop everyday, which is good for personal relaxing.. and of cos my NEW converse bag which buckle broke when i was rushing to see my best fren :) .. i changed it liao aniway.. the desktop is run on linux which i m doing.. oh.. i m developing and troubleshooting engineering applications on different platforms like linux red hat and solaris .. and heres a peek at the lift(got tv in lift lei.. ji high tech) and the pantry












The pantry is my fave place.. which i visit almost every hour to check for love letters and biscuits.. it also has ready made coffee, milo, tea, teh tarik, so every morning i will down at least 2 cups of coffee..

ok time to bitch.. this person in my co. thinks he is boss ah.. he comes late almost every day.. and sometimes doesnt turn up.. he 2nd wk very shuang.. cos supervisor on leave til 22nd june.. so he was delegated to asst sup who was overseas in 2nd wk.. so 2nd wk allowed to work from home.. and now the work delegated to him le.. and sup come back.. then he hasnt really completed his task due to some debugging errors and minor problems.. a major obstacle is that he is totally not familiar wif this linux language.. imagine having to makedir n remove files wif commands like mv, rm , mkdir .. and these r the only basic things.. another non motivating factor is tat this is not his official VIP as yet.. altho he is pushing for it.. cos he cant fulfil the full 12 wks unless he eats into sch term.. but after much emailing.. things r looking rosy.. all dpds on the monday thrash it out session wif the supervisor.. i muz say, i m pretty disappointed wif the work attitude.. on the 1st day of work, the asst sup told me .. 难听-点，WE R JUZ MAKING USE OF EACH OTHER TO CLIMB THE CORPORATE LADDER.. so sad.. no identity.. no drive.. work juz to make $$.. cos turnover is very high .. n employment of contract workers are bountiful... theres another thing tho', the perm staff in my dpt dun seem to come to work often too.. if they r so slack, wad can they expect from interns man... but it shd be safe to say that things will start to perk up once my supervisor is here liao.. at least someone to consult directly.. but he is leaving the company in 2 mths or so.. i wonder hw responsible he is .. gerard says he is the hardest to smoke.. we shall see on monday! oh n no pics of fellowintern junting cos she took mc the day i brought cam! TOOK MC!! but her supervisor realli is damn strict and is a black ass.. shant say too much..

People's Park .. really a lot of old people there! and old music too!! ahhhhhh but my area has a lot of good food la.. juz tat jt n her sis like to eat the same stall which is VEGETARIAN! sighhhh .. i alr din eat wif them once le cos i cannot stand the same food... n i voice out liao.. BUT .. and tat one day i was smoked into buying new leather shoes.. this auntie really use her zhaos.. she change so much opinions and all kinda gimmicks.. i said i was juz looking ard.. then she asked me what i wanted then she see me sporty. she recommend me the sports shoes.. say a lot of ppl buy.. then after tat i said
M:(in chinese) some working shoes.. then she showed me a couple and keep urging me to buy.. once i tried on the shoes.. i was in a trap liao.. then i say my budget abt 50 to 60.. cos leather shoe more ex mah.. so she let me try the kok kok shoes 1st 30 to 40 one.. then i see liao.. ok la cheap but dunno durable.. but in the end me got small dainty feet so dun haf my size.. then she keep finding alternative.. after much persuasion she got me another pair to try(today u my 1st customer la, i give u gd discount la etc etc) .. but i wanted to leave the shop le.. so i tried leaving.. then she halted me and ask how much i wanted for it.. it was alr discounted to sgd70(acc to her outside is 92).. then i said 60? then she said 65.. and say she nvr zhuan la.. etc etc.. sigh i think i quoted too high le.. yaya was saying i shd quote at 40.. cos i asked yaya if that was her mother(joanne mum work in parkway parade, but then i thot it was people park.. imagine how ironic it would be if her mum was the one who cheated me!!) .. oh well.. becos i juz collected 30 sgd of winnings from singapore pools tat day.. i decided to do good deed.. then i not enuff cash and wanted to use NETS..

M: i not enuff
ShoeAuntie: 因为我用 nets will minus my money la (whips out calculator, press some figures.. then ask me to pay 30 using cash and 32.50 using NETS)..
M: why dun i go downstairs and draw money?
SA: (presses some figures again) hmm how abt u pay me 32 then using nets?
M: it is ok i can go down to draw.. i dun see why i shd pay more..
SA: ok ok can leave me the 30 sgd cash 1st? wihle u go draw?
M: *pekcek..she realli need the money so badly ah* okies

my gosh.. the extent aunties go to.. but she is a gd seller la.. once she has u in her clutches, u aint going to escape.. mmm Monday is D-day for me.. have to report on what i have done the past 3 wks... aHHHHHHHH
