A Gambler's Luck
LEt me intro to u the game of In-between.. everyone gets 2 cards face up b4 betting to see whether the 3rd card is in-between.. if in between then win money.. if not then lose.. if same card as either of 2 cards then pay the bank double.. sounds easy right... summore i m taking this module on probability.. sure can win money...
Round 1.. Ace n Queen..
Probability(winning money) = 10/13
Probability(losing and paying double) = 2/13
Probability(losing n paying wat i bet) = 1/13
Card Drawn : Ace
Amt lost : 10 bucks(i bet 5)
Round 3.. Ace n King .. (Best Possible Draw) (Rd 2 skip cos' draw 3 n 5)
Probability(winning money) = 11/13
Probability(losing and paying double) = 2/13
Probability(losing n paying wat i bet) = 0/13
Card Drawn : Ace
Amt lost : 20 bucks(i bet 10)(father lost 40 by betting on my cards)
Conclusion
With such minute odds, and within 10 mins of playing i lose so much... only played like 4 rounds before dinner was served cos' we were visiting at father's side.. What can i say? LUCK frowns upon me..
Before tat was the frantic visiting... 1st time i went church in months.. After reading all the Dan brown books, became more aware of Science Vs Religion. However, there was a sense of serenity n homely feeling at the Church of Holy Trinity in Tampines. Wellz was "forced to go" cos grandparents ashes were there.. so went there for CNY mass. and my uncle had church warden service there too.. The hyponitic hymns, powerful prayers, righteous rites all seemed so familiar.. i could mouth wat the priest was gg to say nxt, given my 16 yrs of church-going life.. as wat carol said .. must haf faith in the goodness..Coincidentally i met her there too .. she so AA .. wearing her yellow Ouzai (Viet traditional costume) which was made in Hanoi Hoa Sua School.. Think she 1st person in history to wear an ouzai to church.. after service, went visiting... total profits reaped today: 44 dollars (excluding $34 lost in betting) Notable thing: while driving in tampines, hollanded near bedok reservoir , and ended up calling kaiwei cos i found myself outside his house.. so funny.. anyway it's so hard driving parents.. mum say turn left m dad say turn right.. mervyn lost in the east.. and mum keeps nagging abt me driving fast...argh.. wat can i say : Gong Xi Fa Cai!
