Phantom of the Opera.. i m glad i chose it over meet the fokers.. its a typical mervish show.. great music/lovely vocals/bombastic flowery language.. ("wat prudence and insolence." blah blah blah.. i luv shakesperean lingo)..i was translating the chinese subtitles to english.. and singing the songs silently to myself..cos chinese subtitles appear faster than wat they sing.. i confirm buying the soundtrack.. the sopranos and falsettos all super good.. then the content.. abt this gal torn between the disfigured phantom (superficial connotations?)and her childhood sweetheart.. i was silently egging the phantom n the gal to be together but sadly.. the noble ghost gave her to the guy.. the phantom luved her to the extent tat he was obsessed wif her.. in short.. he lived for her.. from my interpretation, i felt the gal loved the phantom more.. cos he connected wif her.. but then cos he deceived her n due to his evil nature, she chose the other guy.. is tat wat love shd be? so sad.. 2 pple who truly love each other cant be together.. ok time to suppress the romantic side of me..
