Ah. Movies adapted from books are always subject to much comparison. Firstly let me state the irony of such a set-up. Me had $50 Popular Voucher. I anyhow spent it on a book Kite Runner , and 2 CDs including my Movie Love Songs CD that i have craved (which i could have dled but i m a supporter of non pirated music).

Today, i went to Popular after my $568 medical checkup at Jurong, which almost my whole company is going for to use up the medical benefits, and realised that alas, the Golden Compass book costs $19.80 and comes with a pair of movie passes for GV.

since wj,cl,ali, newly attached mystery gal (the pple i asked) already were watching the movie on that day or have already watched the movie, i din buy the book yet.

And here goes my review for the show. Really quite entertaining apart from the fact i was FOOLED into paying a $4.25 parking fee at TAKA.. my dearest free carpark was full and my bladder couldn't wait so i paid the ERP + parking fee.

I WANT A DAEMON! or more specifically, a kid's one which can morph. Ain't the little rodent Pan uber cute? its like having a SOUL MATE by ur side ALL THE TIME. in this case it is INDEED UR SOUL. U can talk to it, play with it, confide with it. Despite all the religious arguments, this show is just so simplistic and nice to watch.

Simple predictable plot, Nice graphics, Macho polar bear, quick thinking, imba witches.. How to win the witches.. fly ard shoot arrow, and got a white haired cowboy kah kia with his funny flying machine. The mystery of DUST, the magnitude of battles, and magnificance of Iorek Byrnison(better known as the bear king) all multiply up to deliver a mindblowing show.
