Foodie Post
This is a foodie post. First up is Vivocity's HK Gary Kim Restaurant. Nothing really special about this restaurant. Typical HK Cafe, riding on the wave of all the new cafes coming up in Spore.
Secondly, we move on to another restaurant in VivoCity - Earle's Swensons. It was a pretty nice place with a good ambience and the waterfront and ships provide a nice distraction as u chew and ingest your food. Look at the blue light.
The free flow salad bar also gives you extra reason to come here. Beware of the price tho' cos' a meal set could set you back about 18 dollars. However, being the cheapo me, i ordered one set and one sandwich(which does not come with freeflow salad bar) but of cos' i sneakily kopped some salad from my partner. The pic below shows the complimentary soup that i got because i waited almost 20 mins for my sandwich. Apparently they forgot my order and i had to remind them 3 times. Hence i got a very greenish vegetabish soup to appease the disgruntled customer
Next place to try is Tung Lok Signatures Restaurant. Naturally, i wun be so spendthrift so this was a treat from my big boss. Kinda a bargain for him as i was suggesting places like shang ri la, traders, e.t.c.
We went to the outlet at Clarke Quay and i nearly kena bluff to park at the hotel beside Central which had a full carpark. It was $7 per entry. I nearly fainted. Although the free meal would more than cover this charge, i was still unwilling to spend so much on parking.
Next up is Vivocity's Modestos.
An italian place wif a good view too. But unless you are really into Pizzas, Pastas, and italian food, it aint worth paying so much for food.
Next is Curry Favour which is one of spore's acclaimed foodie places. Pretty normal food just that you can pour curry over the food and pls do not choose very spicy unless your tongue can tahan. Had to queue damn long to get a spot here.
For Dessert, you can always consider the new ice rock australia creamery at Holland V. or rather pls do NOT consider it. There is a swing in the dessert parlour but other than that, there is no novelty. The special thing is that you can add different mixes to the dessert and you can mix several toppings such as gummy bears/orea/ teddy biscuits etc
and Holland V's settler's cafe is more known for the games rather than the food.
Last but not least is Tiong Bahru Plaza's Jap dunno wad place. it has a unique brick on which the soup is heated up.. average tasting food though.. ramen n such..
