How to talk to angmohs or exchg stdts.. have to speak real slowly.. gotta add some slang learnt from any american drama or watever.. body language is veri important too.. sometimes i feel so sian of introing myself.. its like a constant process.. hi my name is mervyn.. MER-VYN MERVYN.. cos they dun seem to catch ur name easily.. even tho mine is english name.. maybe i shd call myself bob or dick.. then u say u r from spore... and add tat spore is not in china.. it is near malaysia.. then ur conversation will normally veer towards courses, sports but somehow u are in a dilemma (or is it just me thinking too much) .. the other party seem to be struggling wif the english words to use and u are supplementing them wif ur guess of wat words they are using.. one will think: will a person want to talk to me even if his english not powerful and he is like struggling to get the words out.. or is he better off communicating wif his own frens in his mother tongue?

apart from this, i still love the life here.. i started missing classes already.. late nite drama watching, dota wif the danish delights n finnish fantasies(europeans aint veri gd in gaming), i tend to slp at 5 and cant get up for 10 am lessons... i think xz give up calling me liao wif tat shrill phone.. then also kena nag by my mum.. keep telling me not to play so much game.. must study hard dun waste their $$.. its been exactly 2 wks.. my expectations have changed considerably.. as idiot said, she only ask me how is finland after 2 wks cos maybe initially u will be hoodwinked by the lifestyle.. but after acclimatisaion one will haf more clarity on the life.. i expected this hall to have more hall activities akin to NUS.. IHG etc etc.. nothing yet tho'.. neighbors still in their own room, coming out only to cook..
