As the world evolves into a technological one, the impact that internet security has on us is a mammoth one. Gone were the days when viruses solely referred to those concocted at SGH wards. The epic battle has begun since the millenium bug threatened to wage war on us poor netizens. Ever since Achilles and Troy were decimated by the deceiving generosity of the Trojan horse, it has wreaked havoc on many innocent Pentiums and Athlons.

The virus or rather worm in question is W32.Chod.B@mm. Pls view symantec website for more info on it, it is propagated via MSN n email. Discovered on Apr 2 2005, it ends security processes(ie antivirus programs), steals passwords, blocks access to related security sites and allows backdoor access(ie let other pple hack into ur compromised computer)It attacked poor AMD 1800 on 7/4/05, 30mins b4 vijay's bday. User Merpheus was setting up vijay's present cum blog when wormie struck.. it sent crazy links to everyone online at that time, inviting them to plummet into the continuing abyss of victims. Rectification was elaborate and lengthy, having to tamper with ur registry files. i dled like 5 scanning programs and finally was able to "hopefully" clean my comp with AVAST. The other programs are all damn commerciallized n money minded.. gotta pay money to clean virus.. wth..69.95 USD + shipping. Symantec, MVAS, and dunno wat others all damn jian4.. preying on one's desperation to earn money.. Shouldn't such stuff be freeware like AVAST?

Anyway would like to apologise to anyone who kena.. nxt time if i send u scary or cute or wastetime links or boliao flash games, i WILL put "Worm-free link" or "it's ME" in front.. also would like to add that gals are so susceptible to this kinda virus.. 38 syndrome.. my sister was the one who opened her fren's link... tsk tsk.. i m sure GUYS haf HIGHER awareness than tat! where got suka suka open link one.. later tio virus how.. tat time the paris hilton virus and funny.exe i got receive but never open also... tsk tsk in this NEW age, we have to learn to be more disciplined in our clicking...
