A circular pitstop

it is funny how things happen.. well, at least things have worked out well..

let me start this post off wif smth stand-up comedian andru said.. "my car is working quite well, thank you.." and he manages to do it with a straight face and guess what it was in response to: yes, he was invited to go pitstop cafe..

anyway, it started out quite badly, as people pulled out due to prior commitments.. the ideaman yh had to go diving, the funnyman andru said he was sick, moodless and tired at 3 pm while ys said he juz woke up at 7 pm.. and then there was the awkward situation as sharmaine mixed up the grp of pple going and was wif william when grace called.. and then of cos, to make up the sixth member of the initial grp, jen was pulled along.. and she was supposed to meet carol n gord to watch fireworks or to form another table..

Gaming was cheap at 2/hr and with the pitstop package.. i paid 12.90 for a soup, meal, Friendly drink and 2 hrs of gaming which started 1/2 hr after the food was served. i ordered a breaded dory which tasted much better than settler's.





And then the gaming began.. first up was a game which required us to know our frens well.. as such, jen was at a great disadvantage because she din know the graces n shar.. and furthermore our 2 other common frens were SN and william.. Qns were asked abt a particular fren and then we were all supposed to know what that fren would pick as the answer and the most popular answer would win. Examples would be
1) if Grace T was an animal, what would she be? Ans: Cat.. cos pawz2zprint
2) if jen encountered a thief running away, what would she do? Ans: wrestle thief to grd as opposed to calling for help, using camera to take pic, making a citizen arrest.. me n amy got this one right easily..
3) if shar was a picture, what would she be? Ans: all chose well dressed in a family portrait while i chose bikini clad
4)if merv took a space shuttle, how would he feel? Ans: nauseous as opposed to proud, terrified (which grace n shar chose cos' i veri scared of eastern europe)
5) and the laffs came for SN who would be very concerned if his soup got cold..
6) if SN was a disaster, wad would he be .. me n thng chose the worst.. bubonic plague

Next game was this transport detective game whereby everyone had to catch me via modes of transport such as metro, taxi or bus.. it was over by the 10th step when i unknowingly trapped myself.. then we moved on the animal game where we had to make animal noises and remember who was which animal.. "sasa", "meh meh waha", and get rid of ur cards thru a reaction game.

and when carol arrived we moved on to this magic cards game as seen above where there was gold to be earned and districts to be built and each had their own strengths and powers.. there were 8 roles for us.. assassin, thief, magician, king, bishop, architect, merchant and warlord and each could kill, steal, change cards, get gold, build stuff, and destroy districts.. very interesting game but too bad the warlord only used his power in the last rd cos everyone dun wanna sacrifice their turn n gold for the good of the whole game.. a lot of backstabbing and scheming involved..






and the fun ended wif a complimentary picture to be decorated on the wall! wif markers.. kinda cool yar.. and tat is my union camp mate timothy boay! boss of pitstop! coincidentally birthday boy too! we all had a great time thanks to his service and to end it all the grp photo! a combined grp but wif board games, it aint much difficulty to break the ice and have plenty of fun!
